Athletics has always played a major portion in John’s life. From having a track coach who coached soccer, he learned the principles of running. While he was in graduate school, he realized the benefits of exercise as he was spending much time studying and no time exercising. That started him on track to run a thousand miles a year–plus his age.
Through these types of experiences, he has seen how God strengthens your body, releases endorphins for both energy and enthusiasm, and helps you in your own personal fitness with food intake and good digestion–not to mention how much better you rest at night when you have fully expended your energies throughout the day.
The goal of this book is that you would use your body–God’s temple–so that it is most fit for the Master’s use.
